Blackjack 4 Deck Strategy Chart
The perfect blackjack strategy charts are based on the slightly different versions of the game. Blackjack can be played with a single deck or 4-8 decks. Most casinos I’ve been to have single deck or use six decks. Also, some casinos require the dealer to stand with a soft 17, and some mandate the dealer to hit with a soft 17. Bear in mind all Canadian players can use the basic blackjack strategy in any 4 to 8 deck blackjack games at Canadian online casinos. When to Stand, Split, Double Down or Quit in Blackjack Now that you have a general idea of the blackjack strategy, it’s time to delve into more detail. Single Deck Blackjack Strategy Charts. The following strategy charts are designed for single deck blackjack. Before you begin using these charts, make sure that you are playing in a single deck game. These charts slightly vary for optimum performance on a game to game basis. Action: H = Hit S = Stand D = Double P = Split. 4-Deck to 8-Deck Blackjack Strategy Introduction. To use the basic strategy, look up your hand along the left vertical edge and the dealer's up card along the top. In both cases an A stands for ace. From top to bottom are the hard totals, soft totals, and splittable hands. There are two charts depending on whether the dealer hits or stands on. I’ve been using the basic strategy chart from Wizard of Odds for 4-8 decks and dealer hits on soft 17. But I’ve seen and heard other charts and guidelines that contradict the wizard of odds chart. For example, Blackbelt in Blackjack says you should always hit on a pair of 4’s, but my WOO chart says to split 4’s if the dealer has a 5 or 6.
